You’ll be able to drink King of the Hill’s Alamo Beer “real soon”
After years of memes, mockups, and wishful thinking, King of the Hill’s iconic Alamo Beer is finally becoming a reality and it’s hitting shelves in time for the show’s revival on Hulu.
Back in December 2024, Huluannounceda partnership with San Antonio-based Alamo Beer Company (the real one) to bring Alamo Beer from the animated series to life. The collab, backed by full King of the Hill IP rights, includes the classic show-accurate can design and a “highly drinkable” beer meant to be enjoyed with friends, preferably in an alley and served with a burger from a propane grill.
But the rollout hit a bump in the road earlier this year. In February 2025, Alamo Beer Co.filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization, citing a national decline in beer consumption. The news left fans unsure if Hank Hill’s favorite brew would ever make it out of Arlen.
Luckily, that dream is still alive.

At the ATX TV Festival on May 31, attendees were served the official King of the Hill-style Alamo Beer, and early impressions were glowing.

A Redditor whotried itclaimed it was “insanely smooth and delicious,” comparing it to Coors Banquet with a clean finish and “phenomenal beer taste.” They also revealed it’s expected to launch between July and August, according to a source from the stocking team.
The beerreportedly sits at a session-friendly 4.4% ABVand will come in 12oz cans. Plus, according to those who have tried it, the beer is “easily chuggable,” staying true to its show roots.

Adding fuel to the hype, the Alamo Beer Company recently responded to a fan-posted image of the beer with acoy message: “That’s a mighty fine looking beer. You’ll be able to get one real soon.”
No official shelf date has been announced yet, but if the signs are right, fans won’t have to wait much longer to sip the same beer that Hank, Dale, Bill, and Boomhauer made famous.
“It’s real,” founder Eugene Simor told theSan Antonio Express. “We’re just trying to finalize when the actual date will be for release.”
Originally, the plan was for the beer to hit stores in early 2025, starting with Texas in Q1 2025 before rolling out nationally in Q2 2025.
The beer launch should coincide with the show’s grand return set for August 4, with all 10 episodes available from the jump. The series will feature aged-up versions of the cast with Hank returning from a major propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn his retirement nest egg and navigating a 2025 version of Texas.
