Kelsey Quit Her Job
And Joey’s Living On Credit Cards
In June 2024, Kelsey and Joey appeared on theTrading Secretspodcast, where they shared a series of revelations about their financial situations. For one thing,Kelsey revealed that she quit her jobas a project manager, and was mostly traveling around with Joey. To be sure, many women choose to stay home and raise families. This, however, does not appear to be what Kelsey is doing, as she explicitly said that she intends to return to work someday.
It looks like Kelsey quit her job, so she could spend more time with Joey.

Not to be outdone, Joey discussed his finances during the interview, admitting to having missed some credit card payments while filmingThe Bachelor28. Joey explained thathe had used a credit card to make a small online purchase for $100, and simply forgotto pay it off. His credit score took a major hit. “I was at 730, and I went on the show and I had a payment from a credit card that I didn’t answer for two and a half months,” Joey said.
“I dropped, like, 80 points.”

He went on to say that he was shocked to come home after filmingThe Bachelor28 and learn that his credit score had tanked. “I was like, ‘I can’t even get into an apartment building.’Jesus.”
Kelsey went on to say that, since returning from the show, she felt like she had been playing catch-up financially. Ironically, Kelsey said that, for now, she’s relying on Joey to support her financially. “Joey’s my security blanket,” she said. As the interview continued,Joey revealed that he is currently racking up debt on four credit cards. “I’m just spending as much money as possible and that sh-ts going up,” he said. Keeping her job may have been the wiser financial choice for Kelsey.
Kelsey Moved Joey Into Her Place
“New Girl Situation”
Quitting her job wasn’t the only major life change that Kelsey made to be with Joey afterThe Bachelorseason 28 finished filming. During the previously mentionedTrading Secretspodcast,Joey and Kelsey discussed their living situation. The recently engaged couple havemoved in to Kelsey’s Louisiana apartment, which she shares with two female roommates.“I feel like I’m full-on in a New Girl situation,”Joey explained, referencing the sitcom in which a young woman moves in with multiple male roommates. Kelsey invited Joey to move in with her because he didn’t have his own place at the time.
“He was just living with his sister, so I was like, ‘You can move in with me.'”
Joey and Kelsey’s unconventional living arrangement could be due, at least in part, to the fact that Joey’s credit score has already made it difficult for him to find an apartment.
