The Acolyte’s new trailer might have hooked fans thanks to one key detail
A new trailer for The Acolyte just dropped, and there’s one detail that’s convinced fans to give this new Star Wars show a shot.
The Acolytehas just got a new trailer — the perfect gift forStar WarsDay. As we await the newest show to take place in George Lucas’ universe, the trailer has dropped a few more hints as to what we can expect.
The more that’s released, the more it becomes clear that we’re heading towards the downfall of the High Republic era, with a “shift” taking place that’ll upset the balance between the Jedi and Sith for good. There’s also a closer look into the relationship between Lee Jung-jae’s Sol and Amandla Stenberg’s Mae, as it transpires that she was his apprentice before turning to the dark side.
But there’s one thing that’s really caught the attention of those who’ve seen the latest trailer for The Acolyte, and it’s a small but important element. At the end, we catch a glimpse of a mysterious Sith Lord wielding a red lightsaber. It’s a real tease at what’s to come, and could mark a brilliant Star Warscharacterin the making — especially withthathelmet.
The helmet has become a point of focus on social media, with many praising the design and look of the Sith. Indeed, it’s pretty impressive, with a mask that simulates a wide, toothy grin.
Asone user wroteon Reddit: “That Sith mask is f**king dope.” Another added: “I can’t wait to find out what the name of the Sith Lord is. I’m excited for this one,” while a third wrote: “I have my reserves for the show, but the set design and costumes are all amazing. That ‘Sith’ helmet looks incredible.”

While the identity of the mysterious masked figure hasn’t been confirmed, it’s possible that this could be Darth Plagueis, Palpatine’s master. If so, then the Jedi will have much to fear, since he is one of the most powerful Sith in the history of the galaxy.
While any newStar Wars projectwill create divide among those who’ve spent years investing in the franchise, it’s clear that this trailer has been able to turn some folks around on the upcoming series.
