The chemistry between Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp has always been phenomenal, and seeing their characters in the grandparent stage of their lives was an absolute treat in the first batch of episodes.Bob’s return to Point Place will only add to the hilarity of these characterssince his friendship with Red and Kitty was always a highlight ofThat ’70s Show. By adding Bob back in as a regular part of Red and Kitty’s on-screen moments, Netflix is proving that it understands this.
However, there can be no That ’70s Show spinoff with Red and Kitty, and it’s a comfort to know that the coming season is investing more toward their stories.

It will be great to see Leia and the gang come into their own inThat ’90s Showseason 2. With no cameos from the legacy teenage cast announced (aside from Donna), it seems that they will have a greater opportunity to do so. However, there can be noThat ’70s Showspinoff with Red and Kitty, andit’s a comfort to know that the coming season is investing more toward their stories. Bob’s addition will compliment the Forman’s perfectly, allowingThat ’90s Showto feel even more like its predecessor without taking away from its new young cast—it’s a perfect balance.
