Summary
The Boys’Homelander actor Antony Starr follows up on Jack Quaid’s comments about his version of the Man of Steel fromMy Adventures with Supermanbeing able to take him down in aDC/Wildstorm crossover. After the major cliffhanger at the end of the animated show’s first season, viewers are about to get answers to the new threats in the animated show’s return. My Adventures with Supermanseason 2is set to premiere the first two episodes on May 25, continuing the arc for the young Man of Tomorrow.
Screen Rantrecently interviewed Quaid aboutMy Adventures with Supermanseason 2, where he was asked if his Superman could take down Homelander onThe Boysat some point. As Quaid claimed to be the case,Screen Rantalso interviewed Starr ahead ofThe Boysseason 4, asking how he thinks a Homelander vs Superman fight would go down, as the New Zealand actor gave the following response:

Antony Starr: Oh, really? Is that what he thinks? Here’s why Homelander would kick Superman’s ass. There’s no Kryptonite factor, and Homie would fight so dirty. He’s the [type to go], “Oh, you got me!” as he goes down and then comes up and throws sand in your eyes. He’s a dirty dude, man. Whereas Superman is always like, “Oh, I wouldn’t do that. Oh, there’s innocent children that might get hurt.” Homie’s going to human shield himself with the kids.

Starr or Quaid - Who’s Right About The Superman Vs Homelander Debate?
Now that Quaid and Starr have both given their respective answers to this debate, it begs the question of who would actually win in a war betweenSuperman and Homelander. On the one hand, Starr is right thatHomelander is more than willing to fight dirtyand pull any trick he has up his sleeve. Homelander also doesn’t have a Kryptonite weakness the way Superman does, as his powers come from Compound V.
However, Quaid is also right about Superman beingable to defeat Homelander, becausevarious versions of Krypton’s last son have shown that he can be very strategic. Depending on the story, Superman could easily verify they are in an environment where Homelander wouldn’t be able to prey on innocent citizens. It’s also worth taking into account that Homelander has a similar weakness for others' well-being too, which is his son Ryan.

If Warner Bros. and Prime Video ever found a way to work out a Superman/The Boyscrossover, it would genuinely be interesting to see how they would approach this debate with Homelander. If anything, an animated crossover betweenThe BoysandMy Adventures with Superman, where Starr and Quaid’s characters could literally cross paths, would be the most fun scenario. For now, time will tell ifThe BoysandMy Adventures with Superman, or any version of Superman, will ever get to battle Starr’s Homelander.
The Boysseason 4 premieres with the first three episodes on June 13, only on Prime Video.
