Grey’s Anatomy Season 21 Loses Original ABC Timeslot To Ryan Murphy’s New Medical Show
Summary
Jason George teases his return toGrey’s AnatomyafterStation 19. George played Ben Warren onGrey’s Anatomyfor a number of years, beginning in 2010 with the season 6 episode “State of Love and Trust.” After multiple career changes that eventually wound him up working as a firefighter, Ben also later appeared on the spinoff seriesStation 19, which George has acted on since the season premiere.
PerThe Hollywood Reporter, George suggestshe could appear onGrey’s Anatomyfollowing the ending ofStation 19. According to the actor, he believes that “there’s still a Ben-Bailey, or Benley, story to tell.” He went even further to say that “there may be conversations.” George did not concretely confirm that he would appear inGrey’s Anatomy. Check out the full quote from George below:

I like to think that there’s still a Ben-Bailey, or Benley, story to tell. I think that’s a possibility. There may be conversations.
Why Ben Coming Back to Grey’s Anatomy Is Great News
The Cast Has Seen Some Major Departures
George’s tease is exciting for a number of reasons. For one, it would keep the actor in theGrey’suniverse in a tenure that would have otherwise ended.Station 19is officially ending after season 7, with its final episode airing on Thursday, May 30. The last appearance George had onGrey’swas in season 20, episode 6, which aired earlier in May.
Not only would George’s reappearance inGrey’s Anatomymean that it is not the end of the line for Ben, but it also means the continuation of Benley on screen. Ben and his now wifeMiranda Baileyare arguably the most beloved couple onGrey’s Anatomy. They have had several dramatic stories throughout their time as a couple, including going through miscarriage, adoption, and more, so a lot of their stories have been told. However, if George thinks there are more Ben-Bailey stories to be told, the audiences would certainly welcome it.
8 Ways Grey’s Anatomy & Station 19 Crossovers Changed Both Shows Forever
Most Grey’s Anatomy/Station 19 crossovers were both action-packed and impactful for the shows, but only a few truly changed the course of them.
Hopefully, if George were to return inGrey’s Anatomyseason 21, he would be given a substantial storyline. While he was a regular onStation 19,Ben’s appearance onGrey’s Anatomyhas been more sporadic over recent years. Dr. Bailey’s role has also not been large onStation 19, as she appears for only 25 episodes. As a result, it has been a while since viewers have seen a more proper Benley storyline, soGrey’s Anatomyseason 21 may be the perfect time to discover such a narrative again.
Grey’s Anatomyis available to stream on Hulu and Netflix.
