Space Marine 2’s character customization is endless – but it’ll cost you
One ofSpace Marine 2‘s biggest draws is the customization options. That and the fact you can mow down Tyranids and otherenemieswith brutal efficiency. But looking cool isn’t always free, and in Space Marine 2, it could just cost you more than you realize.
Thousands of fans were instantly looking to see if they could add their chosen Chapter to Space Marine 2 when it was announced, so they could finally live out their Tyranid-slaying dreams in a more visual capacity.

However, while the character customization is certainly extensive, its price is a little steep, especially if you want to unlock everything and push for the bestbuildsin the game.
Character customization explained
Character customization allows you tocompletely change the look of your Space Marine, therefore changing their Chapter. However, there’s a lot more to the alteration than simply picking your favorite color or type.
Customization isabsent from the campaignbut appears in theOperationsandEternal WarPvP mode. Players canselect a specific class(which we have a dedicatedtier listfor) to change their weapons and armor designs.

Your customizationswon’t transfer between modes,however, so you’ll have to customize in both if you want the exact same look.
To customize your character you’ll need tovisit the Armoring Hallandinteract with the station.

From here, you’ll see each class and canswitch between tabsto start creating your desired look.
Armor sets
New armor sets areunlocked as you progress in the different modes, and each one has certain requirements that can be checked by hovering over them.

For example, to obtain theRelic Secundus setyou’ll have toachieve victory in 35 missions in either Operations or Eternal War.
Finally, you can also create acustom armor setif you watch to mix and match different gear.
If you want to change a Marine’s core Chapter, this can be done under theAstartes Chapter tab.
There are preset color schemes from numerous well-known Chapters like theSpace WolvesandDark Angels, as well as the likes of theCarcharodonsandNovamarines.
However, if you want to craft your own, or replicate a Chapter missed, you canadjust the primary, secondary,and tertiary colorsof the separate armor pieces.
Unlocking these colors and cosmetics can be fairly expensive, however, as you’ll need plenty of Requisition Points with eachcosmetic costing between 30 – 50. We’ve got a full guide forhow to unlock Requisitionto make things easier.
It’s also important to note that prior to the game’s release,Focus Entertainment clarifiedthat there would be no microtransactions in Space Marine 2 so you won’t have to part with any real-world money for customization.
