If paired with the right weapons, Artifacts, and proper stat investment, then Choi Jong-In can easily fill both a damage and support role. This character has various quirks and advantages that players should be aware of before slotting this Fire-Mage into their party.

Choi Jong-In is the best Fire Element Hunter with both burst damage and damage-over-time abilities. Choi Jong-In can easily act as your primary damage dealer and helpcharacters level up fast. One important thing to note about Choi Jong-In is that he cannot deal Critical Hits. All stats pertaining to this ability, including Critical Hit Damage and Chance, are completely nullified. Despite this, Choi Jong-In is an incredible addition whenever paired with the right stats, weapons, and Artifacts.

S-Rank Hunter Choi, Jong-In’s Ultimate Skill

Vitality

Increases your HP and defense.

It is best to prioritize Strength, Perception, and Intelligence.Since Choi Jong-In cannot deal Critical Hits,Agility is a completely useless stat for the character. The character’s use revolves entirely around his ability to deal burst damage with his Ultimate and damage-over-time with his Fire-based debuffs. This means that increasing your base attack damage through Strength and Perception is essential to crafting the best Choi Jong-In build.

Aside from Strength and Perception, Intelligence is a good secondary stat to level up as well. Unlike tank characters, such as Seo Jiwoo, Choi Jong-In has relatively little health. Investing points into Intelligence is a good way to both increase this character’s maximum health, but also to decrease the cooldown timers for very important skills and abilities.

Choi Jong-In is a glass cannon and his health can quickly deplete when targeted. Ultimately, it’s better to focus on the primary damage stats with a relatively minor amount of points invested into HP-related stats.

The Best Weapons For Choi Jong-In In Solo Leveling: ARISE

The best weapon for Choi Jong-In inSolo Leveling: ARISEis the Equivalent Exchange. This is a Hunter-exclusive weapon for the Fire-Mage which plays directly into the character’s strengths. Equivalent Exchange provides 4,106 Power alongside a 2,500 attack increase and an additional 4,000 Precision.

The best part of this weapon is undoubtedly its unique effect, which increases Choi Jong-In’s attacks by 18% against Burned targets, and decreases the target’s defenses by 20%. Considering that most targets Choi Jong-In faces will eventually receive the Burned status effect, this is a near-permanent damage boost for the character.

Given that the Equivalent Exchange is a Hunter-exclusive weapon for the character, it may take players some time to eventually unlock this weapon. Until then, theAncient Grimoireis another powerful weapon for the Hunter. This is a weapon that provides several general benefits.

First, it increases Attack, Defense, and HP by 10%. Alongside this, the Ancient Grimoire also increases your Power Gauge charge rate by 32%. Although the Equivalent Exchange marks a major power spike for the character, this is a good stand-in.

The Best Artifacts For Choi Jong-In In Solo Leveling: ARISE

The best way toincrease your Power LevelinSolo Leveling: ARISEis to equip Artifacts that benefit your Hunter. Artifacts have many beneficial properties, not only increasing your given character’s overall damage, but also providing unique effects through set bonuses. Although weapons and stats are important to any build, Artifacts are arguably the most important part of any Hunter build. Artifacts are divided into two categories: Armor and Jewelry, with both being equally important parts of the final build.

One Hit-Kill is the best Armor to equip on Choi Jong-In inSolo Leveling: ARISE. This armor set, whenever either two- or four-piece bonus is in effect, works to increase the base damage and cooldown timer of the Hunter’s Ultimate ability. Whenever two pieces are equipped, Choi Jong-In gains a 25% damage increase toward his ultimate.

With all four pieces active, the Hunter sees a 40% decrease in his Ultimate cooldown timer. Given how powerful Choi Jong-In’s Ultimate is, having this ability available often will only make the Hunter more of a threat.

Aside from One Hit-Kill,the Armed Armor set is another generally useful Artifact set. The two-piece bonus gives Choi Jong-In’s attacks a 5% increase, while the four-piece benefit allows the Hunter to ignore 15% of his target’s defenses. Although not quite as powerful as One Hit-Kill, this is a great way to make Choi Jong-In’s damage more meaningful, both by increasing his own attack power and lowering enemy defenses.

Concentration of Power is the best Jewelry Artifact set for Choi Jong-In currently inSolo Leveling: ARISE. The set bonuses come with a minor drawback, as they increase Choi Jong-In’s MP consumption. In exchange, the two-piece bonus increases user damage by 5% and decreases cooldown timers by 5%. The four-piece increases Choi Jong-In’s damage by 18% and cooldown timers by 18%. Overall, the benefit of both the damage increase and cooldown decrease is well worth the relatively minuscule MP consumption nerf.

Executioner is another great Artifact set that Choi Jong-In can equip. The two-set bonus increases damage by 8% whenever fighting an enemy with 40% HP or less. With all four pieces in place, this increases to 20% whenever fighting an enemy with 70% or less health.

This is great for finishing off weakened enemies and ending encounters early. Enemies and bosses with health regeneration may counter this slightly, making the Concentration of Power the preferred Artifact set, but this is still an incredible tool for the Fire Mage inSolo Leveling: ARISE.
