The skin was only available through a premium $40 Battle Pass bundle, sparking a wave of controversyin the community as many players refused to fork over so much money for a cosmetic.

Eventually, Game Director Aaron Kellerhad to step inand acknowledge the backlash, statingthat the team would make sure to “provide more ways to acquire some of our most popular skins” in the future.

“This is actually great. I hope they keep adding Collab skins into loot boxes,” a player praised.

“Omg I can finally get the Moira skin,” echoed another thrilled user.

So far, Blizzard hasn’t responded to the backlash, but players may want to hold out on spending money on certain skins in the future in the event they’re ever added to Loot Boxes down the line.

That said, non-Blizzard collabs such asOne Punch Manhaven’t returned yet, so they may be an exception.
