Summary
As is the case every month, theXbox Game Passsubscription’s roster will once again be changing. While this offers plenty of titles for different types of players to enjoy, from long-running franchises, indie gems, or day-one AAA releases, making Game Pass one of the better deals in gaming. There is a flip-side to this, however, as each month sees games leaving the service as well, usually in two waves, with these departures taking place on the 15th and the last day of the month.
Currently, only three games have been announced forXbox Game Pass' June additions;Rolling Hills,Firework, andStill Wakes the Deep, with more expected to be revealed across the month, potentially as shadow-drops during the June 9 Xbox Games Showcase.Five titles have been confirmed to be leaving the service on June 15,which are as follows:
Most Of These Titles Can Still Be Completed Before They Leave Game Pass
These Titles Have Shorter Playtimes
As pointed out byTrue Achievements, most of these titles have shorter playtimes, meaning players can likely start and finish them before they leave Game Pass on June 15. According to estimates, all 30 achievements for the 2023 action-adventure titleBramble: The Mountain Kingcan be unlocked somewhere between 8 and 10 hours, although, there is a notably difficult achievement calledSurvivor, which requires players to beat the game without dying, which may take longer to accomplish. Meanwhile, the book-diving narrative adventureThe Bookwalker: Thief of Talesonly takes 10-12 hours to complete.
Both of the sci-fi titles leaning on June 15, the rogue-likeSpacelines from the Far Outand thefirst-person-shooterHigh On Lifeare longer, taking 20-25 hours to complete, but that is still somewhat manageable even when spread out across the next 10 days. The only title that players definitely won’t complete before June 15 isRune Factory 4 Special, which takes somewhere between 200 and 300 hours to unlock all 38 of its achievements, so those who have enjoyed the RPG adventure title on Game Pass so far may want to take advantage of Game Pass' 20% discount if they want to keep trying for 100% completion after it leaves the service.
It’s worth noting that most of these titles,Bramble: The Mountain King,Spacelines from the Far Out, The Bookwalker: Thief of Tales, andHigh On Lifewere all day-one releases onXbox Game Pass, and have had their entire release to date as part of the subscription’s roster, ensuring that players have had plenty of time to try them out. While it’s always disappointing to see some titles leave a subscription, it is making way for plenty of new ones, which hopefully Microsoft will provide some update on soon.
