The Inspiration For The Willy’s Candy Spectacular Video Explained
Willy Wonka Has Received A Lot Of Attention This Year
Though the Stamos video uses a different name, it is inspired by a real-life exhibit called the Willy Wonka Experience in Glasgow. Planned for this past winter, the exhibit was made without licensing from Warner Bros., and many of the elements were as cheap and poorly-made as one would expect from an unofficial experience of that sort. The ramshackle event looked thrown together at the last minute, with the performers looking like characters out of a horror movie and none of the visual effects even close to up to par with what was promised.
As a result, Glasgow’s Willy Wonka Experience was quickly shut down. The supposedly immersive experience was scary for kids and angered parents who were expecting far more from it. Even though it was shut down, the Willy Wonka Experience became oft-talked about all over the internet, with many images going viral. Multiple actors from the failed event shared their own unfortunate stories of being made to believe that the experience was something far different than it ended up being.

Since then, multiple creative projectsabout theWilly WonkaExperiencehave been announced. This includes a horror film based on the event, which should not be too hard to conjure given the horrific nature of the original product. Furthermore, a musical calledWilly’s Candy Spectacular: A Parody Musicalwas announced. The Stamos video appears to be the opening number from said musical, and if this is any glimpse into what the whole thing is like, it is sure to be a wild ride.
