Gamescom’s Opening Night Liveis finally on its way, offering a variety of new game announcements and details for upcoming titles. And one of them could be Hollow Knight:Silksong, according to Geoff Keighley

For those that don’t know, Geoff Keighley is a renowned journalist and presenter of Gamescom itself. So, he’s clearly got an in on what’s going to be announced at the first major event of the convention, Opening Night Live.

With that in mind, he’s teased that we could finally be getting a Silksong release date, or at least a major look at the game in arather unsubtle post on X.

Silksong is likely to be announced at Gamescom

Sharing a picture of himself with a red nose, Keighley joked, “First time? See you tomorrow for Gamescom ONL.”

Now, on the surface, this might not seem like much, but the use of a red nose or a clown emoji has been a widespread joke among the silksong community. Each time a new major stream is released where Silksong could be announced, players have got their hopes up, only to be let down and to ‘look like clowns’ for their excitement.

There’s even a memeKeighley shared on X last yearin which we see the main protagonist for the game with clown makeup on.

As such, this has fully fueled the speculation fire, and fans are convinced that this will be the moment they get to know when the game will release.

“I think we’re getting news tomorrow,”shared one fan, going on to add, “He knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s incredibly aware of the implications of this post, and he doesn’t seem like the person who would post this to troll. Reminder, he confirmed no Silksong last year at the same event.”
