HIM teaser trailer promises the ‘weirdest’ horror movie of 2025
If you’re into sports andhorror, then you’re going to want to get a load of the new teaser trailer for HIM, a football-themed horror movie from producerJordan Peelethat looks set to be a wild ride.
Although it’s hard to beat last year, 2025 is shaping up to be a good time for fans of the macabre. Already we’ve had the epic Stephen King adaptationThe Monkeyand Christopher Landon’s claustrophobic thrillerDrop.
Next in line is the highly-anticipatedSinners, involving a Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan team-up and blood-thirsty vampires. But one movie to definitely add to your watchlist is HIM.
As well as Get Out filmmaker Peele on producer duties under the Monkeypaw banner, the cast is led by Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers, and you can see them in action in the brand new teaser trailer.
HIM looks wonderfully weird in new teaser trailer
The trailer starts off seeming like your regular sports movie, with Wayans’ quarterback giving a pep talk as Withers’ player trains. However, things take a turn for the trippy midway through, with negative x-ray shots showing characters’ insides, a bizarre goat-man attack, and some serious body horror teases.
There’s plenty of excitement, with onewritingon X/Twitter, “My loooooord it looks insane.” Anothersaidit’s “gonna be fire but super weird.”
“Jordan is a mastermind,” added a third, with a fourth chiming in, “Sports and horror are two genres I never expected to mix together this well.”
There’s also hype building to see Wayans’ performance, the actor who made a name for himself in theScary Moviefranchise.
As said by one, “Marlon Wayans is going to give us a powerhouse performance of a lifetime in this film just like he did 25 years ago in Scary Movie,” while another commented, “Marlon Wayne in from comedy to horror, amazing.”

If you’re wondering what HIM is about, the synopsis reads, “A promising young up-and-coming football player (Withers), is invited to train at the isolated compound of a dynasty team’s aging QB1.
“The legendary almost retired quarterback (Wayans) takes his protégé on a blood-chilling journey into the inner sanctum of fame, power, and pursuit of excellence at any cost.”
Alongside Wayans and Withers, Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, Akeem Hayes, and Tierra Whack make up the cast.
