Summary
WARNING: Contains Potential Spoilers for Wonder Woman #10!Wonder Womanis widely regarded as one of the greatest heroes in the DC Universe, having achieved remarkable feats and standing shoulder-to-shoulder withBatmanandSuperman. However, another hero has just relegated Diana Prince from legendary status to merely a sidekick with a statement that is as bold as it is arrogant.
Yara Flor sees herself as more accomplished and prominent than the original OG of the Wonder Family.

Tom King, Daniel Sampere, and Tomeu Morey’sWonder Woman#10depicts past and present Wonder Girls Donna Troy, Yara Flor, and Cassie Sandsmark preparing to rendezvous with Diana after the latter intentionally allows herself to be captured by the Sovereign in order to rescue Barbara “Cheetah” Minerva from his clutches.
However, before the Wonder Girls can join Wonder Woman and the newly liberated Cheetah, they must locate Diana’s invisible jet. This search turns into a comical scene with plenty of bickering between Donna, Yara, and Cassie. It is during this hunt for the invisible jet that Yara boldly declares Wonder Woman is her Robin.

“Diana Is My Robin”: Wonder Girl Yara Flor Downgrades Wonder Woman to Sidekick Status
Yara’s declaration of downgrading Wonder Woman to sidekick status occurs when Cassie accidentally walks face-firstinto the invisible jet, leaving her slightly concussed. In her dazed state, Cassie laments how she doubts such mishaps happen to the Robins with the Batmobile.Yara, however, dismisses this comparison, stating, “What is this comparison? I am not someone’s Robin. If anything, Diana is my Robin.“It’s a bold statement from a character who has only been part of continuity for a little over 10 years, compared to Wonder Woman’s enduring legacy of over 80 years in comics.
Considering that Donna Troy and Cassie Sandsmark have also been in comics far longer than Yara, if anyone should be considered the sidekick in this group, it would logically be Yara—the ultimate newcomer. Yara’s statement essentially labeling Wonder Woman as her sidekick also speaks volumes about her character, revealing her boldness and perhaps a touch of arrogance to discuss such a respected hero in such terms, implyingshe sees herself as more accomplished and prominent than the original OG of the Wonder Family. Unfortunately, fans were not shown Donna and Cassie’s reactions to Yara’s audacious claim.
