Masterworking is a new crafting system inDiablo 4introduced in season four, Loot Reborn. The goal of this system is to allow players to alter their gear to better fit their build and play style. To perfect their gear, players need to find specific, new reagents, including Ingolith.
Masterworking is one of the best ways to improve the items you have collected inDiablo 4. Masterworking an item gives an attached affix a 5% increase, with the 4th, 8th, and 12th Masterwork levels also giving a 25% affix increase. The three materials necessary to masterwork items are Obducite, Ingolith, and Neathiron. Although there are other reagents that you will occasionally need, these are the three components required at every Masterworking level. If you want to improve your gear inDiablo 4, it’s best to know where to find Ingolith.

How To Use Ingolith In Diablo 4
Ingolith is one of three necessary components forMasterworking inDiablo 4. Once you can access World Tier Four andcomplete the Pit of the Artificers quest, you can go to any blacksmith inDiablo 4to find this new shop section.
Open the Masterworking tab and select the gear you are currently equipped with for Masterwork. If you’re able to provide the needed amount of Ingolith, Obducite, or Neathiron, the item will be successfully improved.

It is important to note thatMasterworking randomly increases the effect of one attached affix. You cannot control which affix will be buffed, although you can always reset the item to Masterworking level zero.
You will not get any of your materials back, but if there is one specific affix you are trying to power up, this is likely the best way to go about it. Ultimately,Diablo 4is all about improving and upgrading your equipment, with Masterworking being yet another way to do just this.
