Destiny 2‘s summer-themedSolstice eventreturns once again in 2025, and it’s packed with new weapons worth farming for.

In addition to Yeartide Apex and Fortunate Star, both excellent weapons in their own right, Festival Flight joins the sandbox. An area denial grenade launcher akin toVS Velocity BatonandLost Signal, this latest addition to the archetype is a Strand-element variant bursting with best-in-slot perk combos.

So versatile are its possible rolls, in fact, that it’s hard to nail down a single one-size-fits-all chase. Whether you’re looking for Strand synergy, grenade build buffs – especially potent for Warlocks – or general utility, Festival Flight has it all.

Festival Flight PvE god roll – Meta analysis

While there’s a lot of wiggle room in the all-important first and second perk columns, there are at least some definitive best perks in some areas. Forbarrel and magazine, you’ll want Quick Launch and High-Velocity Rounds, respectively, for theadditional projectile speed and blast radius.

From here on out, you’ve got a decision to make. For Warlocks especially, which traditionally have the best grenade-oriented builds,Demolitionist and Blast Distributor are top-tier, providing instant reloads or increased grenade damage on hit respectively.

With Starfire Protocol back on the menu for Warlocks as of Edge of Fate, the above roll makes their Fusion Grenades even more potent while dishing out respectable AoE damage.

However, Titans and Hunters can have fun here, too. ForStrand synergy, Slice,and Elemental Honing is an excellent choice. Likewise, you can also lean into neutral game and Super generation withAttrition Orbs and Vorpal Weapon, although it’s worth noting that the former perk isn’t as good as it once was, following nerfs.

Either way, there’s plenty to love here, and if you’re lucky enough to get a Tier 3 or higher version of the weapon with multiple perks in each column, there’s a good chance you’ll be able to swap between various different rolls on the fly.
